First off I want to thank everyone that went cyber searching for me. I am alive and contrary to popular belief the zombies didn’t get me.
They never will…
Helmey once again fell victim to this shitty economy and was laid off for the second time in his life, and coincidently the past 7 months. It pretty much sucks to be me right now. It’s a good thing that when times were awesome I lived within my means. As much as I wanted to spend all my cash on crack and ninja swords, I put some of it away. As a cost cutting alternative to crack and ninja swords I smoke crown royal in the rock form and purchase the more economical samurai swords. This way I would have a little something in case of a rainy day. Apparently it’s been raining since the second half of ’07 with no relief in the forecast. Awesome…
Needless to say I haven’t been feeling bloggy. Its pretty humbling when at one point of your life your turning down opportunities left and right being recognized as one of the best in your field only to realize a few years later that you and your mad skills are no longer in demand.
Whatever… It is what it is… I’m off to freebase some crown-ack and get back to the pole.
Speaking of, you’re all more than welcome to join me at the shaker bar. My dancer name is “Angry Dragon” and you get a 2 fer lap dance if you mention the blogapalooza. Be sure to stop at the bank and get a bunch of ones because I can shake that ass... word
oh that's too bad! i;m sorry! hopefully you find something soon!

i am truly sorry to hear you got laid off. it sucks out there right now... but keep your head up and smart move for you saving money and being thrifty!!

If only I were close enough for that lapdance! I feel your pain as much as one can when one hasn't actually been laid off. Happy to see you're still alive.
Never once did I think the zombies got you, btw. The spiders, maybe, but never the zombies.

Poor Helmey, that's shitty. I am also contemplating a 2nd job in dancing...gotta think of a clever name (and start starving myself) first

Oh Helmey - so sorry to hear that. It truly and utterly sucks!!! The company I work at has also just gone through the same sort of thing and on Friday they retrenched a shitload of employees. :( Hang in there though. Some guy at work keeps reminding me that 'a set-back is a set-up for a come-back'. My first response is to smack that over-eager optimism right out of him, but you know, the dude has a point. All that 'when a door closes another one opens' blah blah blah. And besides, there are a lot of perks to pole dancing - no early mornings sitting in traffic and a work environment where the consumption of alcohol is encouraged. Pretty hard to beat! ;)

I'm sorry Helmey! Maybe it's because you are so awesome, these jobs just can't keep you and your awesomeness!
I'd so give you lots of ones for a lap dance!!!

I'm SO SORRY Helm! I was wondering what happened to you until Shitty Husband let me know this weekend. Hopefully things will get back to normal very soon or else we may all be with you shaking our goods! haha

Don't be ashamed of the pole, we all have to swing on it at times :) If you got the moves. I say shake it.

I'm sorry Helmey. i really didn't marry well...so is it ok if I pay for my lap dance with change from the kids piggy banks? It may be enough to buy you a 40 oz of Red Bull....
